SCOPS is urging farmers to take action against liver fluke early this year. A little effort now could mean significant reduction in losses later in the year. Most of us were taught to think of liver fluke as a problem associated with the autumn and winter months, but the truth is that the wet spell we are currently experiencing in the latter part of May and early June could herald yet another bonanza year for liver fluke in the UK unless we take action NOW.
